Please find below details of the Ladies section. Do not hesitate to contact any member of the committee for any further explanations or if you have any ideas to improve our group.  We welcome more members, so please encourage friends and acquaintances to join us at any time during the year. COMMUNICATIONS

  • Communications to Ladies Section members will be either on the ladies notice boards and/or via email. 

  • Information regarding Ladies Section competitions and friendly matches will be either on the notice boards and/or via email.


LADIES COMMITTEE MEETINGS

  • Meetings are scheduled monthly and are included in the fixture list, members are welcome to attend.

  • Other meetings will be called at the committee’s discretion


LADIES SECTION GOLF MORNING

  • Ladies Section golf morning will be Monday, except bank holidays.  Our tee-times are between 9.30am to 10.30am. Players who ‘sign up’ for that days game will be advised of their start times via email.

  • Each month the playing format will include a selection of playing formats and qualifying rounds – see Ladies Section Golf Morning Fixtures List, Competitions and Events. The formats will be changed at the Committee or Roll Up Hosts discretion depending on factors such as weather and numbers of players


HANDICAPS

  • Chilworth Members Golf Club will continue to manage handicaps on behalf of all members.

  • Handicap limits for club competitions are as defined by the club.


ANNUAL EVENTS, eg:

  • Easter event.

  • Summer Captain’s day and mid-year presentation event.

  • Annual Meeting, Christmas golf and end of year presentation event.


INTERNAL COMPETITIONS

All Ladies Section members are eligible to take part in the following competitions for an annual £13.00 entry fee, which will be collected in January:

  • Par tree – 2 categories, handicap 0-26, 27-36+, located in the ladies cloakroom, March to October.

  • Birdie tree – 0-36+, located in the ladies cloakroom, February to October.

  • Par Race Competition – 2 categories, handicap 0-26, 27-36+, May to September.

  • Summer Singles Knockout – play off maximum 36 handicap, dates to be confirmed.

  • Summer Eclectic – play off maximum 36 handicap, May to September.

  • Winter Eclectic – play off maximum 36 handicap, November to March.


FRIENDLY HOME AND AWAY COMPETITION

Clubs and dates to be confirmed. 

  • To be played in existing club colours – yellow shirt, navy blue sweater and trousers, shorts or skirt.

  • Teams will be selected from those players available and holding a current handicap. Match fee of £5 is payable by all players for home and away matches.


COUNTY AND NATIONAL COMPETITIONS

Competitions and dates to be confirmed, including for example:

  • Legg Bowl, Daily Mail Foursomes, Knight Cup, Hull Shield, Corhampton Centenary Shield and Hockley Centenary Shield.

  • Qualifying rounds will be held for Peugeot Coronation Foursomes, Ping 4BBB Competition and HLCGA Centenary Foursomes Competition.

  • Teams will comprise best players, at the time within handicap category, and all ladies who are club members with a current handicap are eligible to play, depending on the competition rules.

  • To be played in existing club colours.

  • Match fee of £5 is payable by all players for home and away matches.
