Winter Rules Update
Dear Member,
This email is to notify you that, as of the 18th of April 2025, winter rules are no longer in effect. As a result of this change, preferred lies are no longer allowed and all shots will need to be played as they lie.
The course is still a little soft in areas which may lead to plugged balls. However, there is a rule regarding embedded balls which can be used if this is the case. The rule is as follows:
16.3b - Relief for Embedded Ball
When a player’s ball is embedded in the general area and relief is allowed under Rule 16.3a, the player may take free relief by dropping the original ball or another ball in this relief area.
Reference Point: The spot in the general area right behind where the ball is embedded.
Size of Relief Area Measured from Reference Point: One club-length, but with these limits:
Limits on Location of Relief Area:
Must be in the general area, and
Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point.
If you have any questions regarding the rules, please speak to a member of staff who would be happy to help.
Kind regards,
